Overview

See which meeting default really applies to you and which level set it, with this meeting defaults settings panel for React with Base UI. Three Radio Group cards choose the video provider, Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, as text with a two-letter tile. A table lists five defaults, Waiting room, Mute on entry, Auto-record, Transcription language and Max participants, with the value the workspace sets, the value your team sets (or Not set) and your own cell, a Native Select that offers Use team setting or a value. A value there is marked Overridden with a Reset, and the last column says what applies and where it came from, resolved down the three levels, for example "On (from My team)". A sentence counts how many of the five come from you, your team and the workspace. The action foot counts unsaved changes beside a Shine Button that saves them and an outline button that discards them. It's built from Radio Group, Field, Native Select, Button, Shine Button and Guides, with a CSS entrance only. On a phone the table becomes one card for each setting with what applies first. For classrooms, a meeting tool or any app with defaults that inherit.

FAQ

How is the applying value worked out?

resolve takes your cell first: if it holds a value, that value applies and it comes from Me. Otherwise the team's value applies if the team has set one, from My team, and otherwise the workspace's, from Workspace. Nothing about the result is typed, so changing any cell or any typed level changes the last column and the count sentence.

What does Reset do, and where does focus go?

It sets your cell back to Use team setting, so the setting inherits again, and says so in the status line. The Overridden word and the button keep their space and are hidden and inert when there is nothing to reset, so rows never change height. Focus moves to the row's select, because the button it was on has just gone quiet.

Can I change the workspace or the team values here?

No: they are typed in SETTINGS, as they would be when an admin has set them elsewhere. The provider is the workspace's choice and is saved here for the demo. In your app load the three levels from the server, grey the Me column where the admin has locked a setting and say who locked it.

What stays local, and how do I make it real?

Everything. No meeting is created, Save keeps your overrides in this page's state and says so, and the provider names are text with a tile, not an integration. In your app store only the overrides (a missing value means inherit), resolve the effective settings when a meeting is created, and use the provider's own API for the rest.

How does it work by keyboard and on a phone?

The table is a real table with a caption, row headers and column headers, and each select is named "Waiting room, for me" and so on. The Applies column is read as part of the row. On a phone the table keeps one DOM and each row becomes a card with the applying value first, then the three levels, and the action foot is pinned to the bottom of the screen.
