Sign in with a Pro account, and this holds your MCP URL, ready to paste.

In Manus, open Settings → Connectors → Custom MCP, fill in the three fields as above and save.

Manus works in its own cloud workspace, not on your machine. It can install components into a project there, or hand you the shadcn add command or the files to write in yours.

Check it

In a new task, ask:

Prompt
use shadcnio to tell me who I'm connected as

Manus calls whoami and answers with your account and how many calls you have left this minute.

Your first component

Manus can't read your project, so say your framework, and for React the primitives:

Prompt
use shadcnio to give me the date picker for React on Radix, with the install command

It calls search_components, get_component and get_install_command, and answers with the command, your token in its URL. For Vue, Svelte or Solid, get_install_plan gives every file with its path and the packages to install.

Manage the connection

Settings → Connectors lists your connectors: edit shadcnio there to change its URL after you regenerate your token, or remove it.

FAQ

Which transport do I pick?

HTTP. The shadcn.io server speaks MCP over HTTP, at your MCP URL.

Can it install into my project?

Not on your machine: Manus runs in its own workspace. Copy the command it gives you, or the files from the install plan, into your project.

Why is it still giving generic answers?

Name the server in your prompt and be specific: a component's name, your framework, or a category. Vague prompts fall back on what the model remembers.
