Overview
Triage a stack of documents by when they are due, with this legal review block for React with Base UI. Documents fall into Due this week, Next two weeks and Later, worked out from each deadline against a fixed day, and an overdue one says "Overdue 1 day". Each row is a Checkbox that marks it reviewed, a type Badge (Contract, NDA, Terms or Patent), the reviewer's initials, the page count, and a risk word of Low, Medium or High beside a signal glyph. Filter chips narrow the queue by type with counts, and Open only hides what is reviewed; a row you have just ticked stays until you change the filter, so nothing slides away under your cursor. Pages to go is the sum of what is still open. An Empty state fills the same space when nothing matches. Guides rule the bands. The documents are samples, not legal advice. For legal ops, contract desks and review queues.
FAQ
How are the groups chosen?
By the days between the deadline and a fixed AS_OF: four days or fewer (through Sunday) is this week, up to 18 days is the next two weeks, and the rest is later. Overdue documents sit in the first group. Move the cut-offs with WEEK_ENDS and SOON_ENDS.
Is risk shown by colour?
No. Risk is a word and a glyph, a signal icon with one, two or three bars. The block uses no colour for it, so it reads the same in any theme and in print.
Why does a ticked row stay when Open only is on?
Because rows leaving under the pointer or keyboard focus is disorienting. Ticked rows stay until you change the type or press Open only again, and then the queue settles.
