Overview
Announce a finished report and let the reader see the headline numbers before they open it, with this report notification for React with Base UI. It is Chartnest, an analytics tool, in a framed panel with a plus mark on each corner. The first band is a toolbar with a Select of three periods (the last 7, 30 or 90 days) and the dates the period covers. Under it three cells on shared hairlines show revenue, signups and churn: a rolling Sliding Number, an arrow and the signed change from the period before. Picking another period re-reads all three from typed sets in place, so nothing moves. The foot ends in "View report", the one Shine Button, a link, and "Download summary", an outline Button inside a Download Trigger that saves a CSV of the three measures for the chosen period. Guides draw the lines. For scheduled reports, weekly digests and any result that deserves a glance first.
FAQ
How do I use my own numbers?
Edit PERIODS: each period has its days, a label and three measures, each with its value, decimals, prefix, suffix, signed change and the unit the change is in (percent, or points for a rate). The dates come from the page's fixed AS_OF, ending on it, so the range reads the same everywhere. The figures are made up; revenue is shown in thousands.
Why is there no Print or save as PDF button?
Printing calls the browser's print dialog, which prints the whole page and not the panel, so this set leaves it out of every notification. The honest file here is the CSV summary: three rows with the measure, its value and its change, named for the period. If you want a PDF, render it on your server and point the link at it.
What stays local, and how do I make it real?
Everything. The select, the numbers and the file are state and strings in this page, "View report" only says in the status line what it would open, and nothing is fetched or sent. In your app give View report the report's real address and fetch each period's measures when the select changes.
How do I read the arrows?
The arrow points up when the change is above zero and down when it is below, with the sign and the unit in text beside it ("-0.3 pts"). Churn going down is good news and revenue going down is not, so the arrow shows direction only and carries no colour; the status line spells out each change in words, such as "churn down 0.3 pts".
Is it accessible, and does it work in a right-to-left page?
The select is named "Report period", the three measures are a description list, and a polite status line says what the period now shows. The rolling digits are read as one number. Figures and signed changes keep their left-to-right order inside a right-to-left page, and the arrows do not mirror because they show a trend and not a direction of reading.
