Overview
Plan the next sprint from what the team has actually finished, with this velocity panel for React with Base UI. A hairline frame with a plus mark on each corner draws the last six Burnwell sprints as stacked columns, points completed in solid and points carried over in a light weight, with a rolling three-sprint average of completed points as a line across them and the commitment for the next sprint as a rule. The end side cell is the plan: a Number Input for the points to commit, a sentence such as "34 is 13% above your three-sprint average of 30", and a table of four people with the points assigned to them, done and left, which always add up to the commitment. It is built from Number Input, Avatar, Guides and hand-built columns. For agile teams and planning meetings.
FAQ
How do I fill it with my sprints?
Edit SPRINTS: a name, the points completed and the points carried over. The columns, the average line, the totals in the header and the comparison are all worked out from them. PEOPLE holds each person's weight, which decides their share of the commitment, and how much of it they have done.
How is the average worked out?
Each point of the line is the mean of completed points over that sprint and the two before it, so it starts at the third sprint. The comparison uses the last three sprints, and says when the commitment is more than any of the six.
What happens when I change the commitment?
The rule on the chart moves, the sentence is rewritten, and the people table is split again so that assigned points always add up to the number, using the largest remainder so no point is lost to rounding. Values outside 1 to 99 are refused with a message and the last good value stays.
Is the chart available as text?
Yes. A hidden table lists each sprint with its completed points, carried points and average, and the drawing itself is hidden from assistive technology. The sentence about the commitment is the one polite status message.
