Overview
Show what a writing assistant will do before it has done anything, with this no generated content empty state for React with Ark UI. A whole screen holds the page's rails and one band across it, split in two with the drawing first: a typewriter with a blank sheet in the roller, only dashed because nothing is typed. At the end of the line are the heading for Copyloom, a writing assistant, one sentence, a Toggle Group that chooses what to write (Email, Ad copy or Article intro, one always chosen) and the Shine Button, the only colored control: Generate sample. Pressing it shows fixed sample text on a sheet under the button, labelled Sample text, nothing is generated, with a Copy Button, and the sheet in the typewriter turns solid with typed lines on it. Pressing it again shows the next sample of that kind. The page rails and band come from Guides, and the whole block uses CSS transitions only. For the first-run state of any tool that will draft text for you.
FAQ
Does this generate anything?
No. Each kind has two fixed texts, written in the block, and Generate sample shows them in turn. The sheet is labelled Sample text, nothing is generated, and the status line says the same. To wire it for real, call your writing model from the handler where the code says so, stream its answer onto the sheet and show a failure in the status line.
What does Copy do?
It puts the sample text on your clipboard, the one thing in the block that touches anything outside the page. The button says Copied for a moment, and the polite status line says it too; if the browser refuses, the status line says how to copy by hand. Before a sample exists the button answers "Generate a sample first."
How does the choice work?
It is a single-choice group that never ends up empty, so one kind is always chosen. Choosing another kind does not change the sheet until you press Generate sample, which then reads Generate again once the sheet holds that kind. Start over blanks the sheet and chooses Email again.
Is it usable with a keyboard and a screen reader?
Tab reaches the choice, Generate sample, Start over (quiet until a sample exists) and Copy; the arrow keys move between the three kinds. The drawing is hidden from assistive technology and the polite status line says what was chosen and shown.
