About
Use it when two parts add up to one total and the total is the headline: desktop and mobile visitors, paid and free plans. The half ring reads as a gauge and leaves room for the number. With more than three parts, or when the parts matter more than the sum, a donut or a stacked bar is clearer.
Mobile runs from three o'clock, desktop picks up where it ends and carries on over the top to nine o'clock. The ends are rounded and a thin gap separates the two. The total sits in the middle, Visitors under it.

Usage
import { ChartRadialStacked } from "@/components/charts/chart-radial-stacked";<ChartRadialStacked />Customize
foldandstackRowsXturn the single row{ month, desktop, mobile }into two intervals, mobile from 0 to 570 and desktop from 570 to 1,830, read by oneradialBarAnglethroughangle1andangle2.- The angle scale runs from 0 to the largest single value, 1,260, and clamps, as Recharts' angle axis does, so desktop stops at the half ring's end. Set its domain to
[0, totalVisitors]for segments in proportion to the total. - Each segment fills with
var(--color-mobile)orvar(--color-desktop)throughz: "series", withcornerRadius: 5. - The radius band runs from 80 to 110 pixels. The total and
VisitorsareradialTextmarks at the center, moved withdyso they sit inside the arch. ChartContainerhasmx-auto aspect-square w-full max-w-[250px]: square, at most 250 pixels wide.
FAQ
How are the two series stacked?
fold turns the row into one per series and stackRowsX gives each an interval, x1 to x2: mobile from 0 to 570, desktop from 570 to 1,830. One radialBarAngle reads them through angle1 and angle2, so they meet without overlapping.
How do I make it a full or three-quarter ring?
polar()'s startAngle and endAngle cover 180 degrees, in radians from twelve o'clock: rechartsAngle(0) to rechartsAngle(180), from three o'clock over the top to nine. Use rechartsAngle(270) for a three-quarter gauge, and keep the center text clear of the opening.
Where does the gap between the segments come from?
Each segment has cornerRadius: 5, so both its ends are rounded and a notch opens where they meet. For a straight seam, add stroke: "var(--background)" and strokeWidth: 2 to the segments; set cornerRadius: 0 to butt them together.
How do I add a third series?
Add the key to the row and to chartConfig, then to fold's fields, stackRowsX's order and chartColors' keys: the stack gives it the next interval. Add it to totalVisitors for the center number too.
What does the tooltip show?
Hovering anywhere on the half ring shows both series, mobile then desktop, with no title. Unpainted tracks under the segments read the pointer and focus both at once (focus: "group-y"); the tooltip passes hideLabel and valueKey: "visitors", and each row takes its name from chartConfig.

The chart's accessible name: the card's title.
ariaDescription?string
The chart's accessible description.

ChartTooltipContent's props (indicator, hideLabel, formatter…) for the default body, or false for TanStack's own tooltip body.
- Type
ChartTooltipContentProps | false
renderTooltip?(context: ChartTooltipBodyRenderContext) => ReactNode
A whole tooltip body of your own, in place of ChartTooltipContent: it gets the focused points (each with its datum, group and color).
- Type
(context: ChartTooltipBodyRenderContext) => ReactNode
defaultIndex?number
The category whose tooltip shows before any pointer, as Recharts' defaultIndex.
height?number
A fixed height in pixels for the chart, in place of the container's.
aspectRatio?number
A width-to-height ratio for the chart, in place of the container's height.
initialWidth?number
The width the chart renders at before it's measured.
onFocusChange?(point: ChartPoint | null) => void
Called as the focused point changes: a pointer, a key or a tap.
- Type
(point: ChartPoint | null) => void
onFocusGroupChange?(points: readonly ChartPoint[]) => void
Called with every point at the focused category (a stacked or grouped chart's).
- Type
(points: readonly ChartPoint[]) => void
onSelect?(point: ChartPoint | null) => void
Called when a point is clicked or picked with Enter.
- Type
(point: ChartPoint | null) => void
--color-<key>?color
Each config key's color (its theme color in light and dark), set on the container: the marks paint with var(--color-<key>).
ChartTooltipContent
<div>
pointsreadonly ChartPoint[]
The focused points, from the tooltip's context. ChartContainer passes them to its default body; a body of your own passes its context's.

Helpers
chartTooltip?(settings?: ChartTooltipSettings) => ChartDefinitionOptions
defineChart's second argument for a chart with a tooltip: what a pointer or a key focuses (group-x, each category's series, by default), the focus ring, and the host ChartContainer draws its body in.
- Type
(settings?: ChartTooltipSettings) => ChartDefinitionOptions
chartTheme?ChartTheme
defineChart's theme in the site's tokens: the text, the grid and the palette (--chart-1 to --chart-5).
chartColors?(config: ChartConfig, keys?: readonly string[]) => { domain: string[]; range: string[] }
defineChart's color: each series key (in config order, or keys') painted var(--color-<key>), for marks with a color channel.
- Type
(config: ChartConfig, keys?: readonly string[]) => { domain: string[]; range: string[] }
chartLinearScale?() => LinearScale
A value axis drawn as Recharts draws its default one: zero in the domain, five nice ticks. Pass it as a factory: y: { scale: chartLinearScale }.
- Type
() => LinearScale
curveNatural?CurveFactory
D3's natural curve, for a smooth line or area: curve: d3Curve(curveNatural).
curveStep?CurveFactory
