Overview

Compare networks on the numbers that decide where to build or send, with this network stats panel for React with Base UI. It's Meshpulse, a sample comparison page over five fictional chains, and every figure is typed for one fixed time, not a live feed. A Toggle Group picks up to three chains and keeps at least one on. A table lists six metrics, transactions per second, block time, median fee, active addresses, pending transactions and finality, in a column for each chosen chain, and a first row gives each chain a status as a glyph and a word. The direction of every metric is typed, so more throughput and a lower fee are both better, and the best value in a row is set in bold and marked with the word Best once two or more chains are showing. For chain pickers, status pages and developer docs.

FAQ

How is Best decided?

Each metric carries its direction in the data: transactions per second and active addresses are better when higher, and block time, fee, pending transactions and finality are better when lower. The best of the chains showing is marked per row, ties included, and with a single chain nothing is marked because there is nothing to compare.

Why can I only pick three?

A fourth column would not fit the panel's width, so pressing a fourth chain keeps the three you have and the status line says to unpick one first. The last chain can't be unpicked either, so the table always has something in it.

What stays local, and how do I wire it?

All of it: the chains are fictional and the figures are constants as of the stated time. In your app load each chain's metrics from your node providers or an analytics source on a schedule, show the time of the sample, and keep the direction of each metric next to its definition.

How is status shown?

As a glyph and a word, Operational or Degraded, never a colour. The glyphs are in the foreground colour, so the table reads the same in either theme.

Is the table keyboard friendly?

Yes. It is a native table with a caption and row and column headings, inside a named region you can focus and scroll sideways. The chain buttons are a toggle group you move through with the arrow keys.

How does it look on a phone?

The chain columns scroll sideways inside the table's region while the metric column stays pinned at the start, so you always see which row you are reading.
