Overview
Keep a small business ahead of its filings with this tax deadlines calendar for Svelte with Ark UI. A hairline frame with a plus mark on each corner holds five returns for the invented regions Northmark and Southvale, each with its due date, the days left from a fixed 14 October 2026 and three documents to tick off as Checkboxes; at three of three a Badge reads "Ready". A NumberInput at the top asks "If filed this many days late" and every row answers with an example penalty from a typed rule: a flat $50 plus 1% of the amount for each week, worked out in integer cents. A drawn month at the end marks each deadline with a ring when its papers are ready and a dot when they are not. One quiet line says the figures are examples only and not advice. The bands are ruled by Guides. It's built from Checkbox, NumberInput, Badge and Guides, with a CSS entrance only. For accounting tools, small-business diaries and any app that counts down to a filing.
FAQ
How do I use my own filings and rule?
Edit FILINGS: each has a name, a place, an ISO due date, the owed amount in cents and three docs. FLAT_FEE and WEEKLY_PERCENT hold the penalty rule, and START_TICKS lists the documents that begin ticked.
Why is today always 14 October?
Nothing in the block reads the clock. AS_OF is the one moment it treats as now, and every day count, bucket and ring comes from it, so the block looks the same on any day and in a screenshot. To follow the real date, set AS_OF from your own clock or server and keep the rest as it is.
Are these real deadlines?
No. Northmark and Southvale are invented regions, and the dates, amounts and penalty rule are examples so that no real deadline can be wrong. The block says so in its last line. Replace the data with the rules of your own jurisdiction and check them with a professional.
How is the example penalty worked out?
If the field is zero there is no penalty. Otherwise it is the flat fee plus the amount owed times the number of weeks late times 1%, with any part of a week counting as a whole week, rounded to the cent. The field accepts 0 to 90 days and reads Arabic-Indic digits too.
What does the month beside the list do?
It is a drawn month, not a picker. Each date in the list is marked on it with a shape from the legend, and the marks move when the list changes. Previous and next step through the months the data covers. It is hidden from screen readers; a sentence under it says how many dates are marked, and the list holds every fact.
