Overview

Run a standup that keeps to time with this daily standup for Svelte with Ark UI. A hairline frame with a plus mark on each corner starts with a band holding the clock, the catalog Timer counting down from two minutes, a line saying who is speaking, and a Shine Button that reads Start round. The clock starts when you press the button and never when the page loads. Next speaker hands over to the next of the six and starts the clock again, Stop puts it back to two minutes, and Finish round closes the round. Under the band the running order lists the six with a word for each (Done, Speaking, Up next, Waiting), the speaker's card shows what they did yesterday, what they will do today and a blocker if they have one, and a band lists the blockers with the count, "3 blockers". When time runs out the clock says so and waits for you to hand over. The digits are hidden from screen readers and a polite status line speaks each hand-over, and under reduced motion the seconds are not shown. It's built from Timer, Shine Button, Button, Avatar, Badge and Guides, with a CSS entrance only. For team tools, meeting apps and any timed round-robin.

FAQ

How do I put in my team?

Edit PERSON_LINES. Each line is id | name | initials | role | yesterday | today | blocker, in speaking order, with the blocker empty when there is none. The running order, the card and the blocker count all read from it, and ROUND_MS sets the time each person gets.

When does the clock start?

Only when you press Start round, Start clock or Next speaker. The Timer is created with its start switched off, and a press changes its key so a new one begins at two minutes. Stop does the same with the start switched off. Nothing runs while the page is idle, and the clock is never read from the system time.

What happens when the two minutes run out?

The clock stops at zero, the person's row reads Time up and the status line says so. It does not move on by itself; press Next speaker. Finish round, on the last person, ends the round and shows how many blockers to follow up.

Why does it say Wednesday at 09:30?

Nothing in the block reads the clock. The line under the title is typed with the fixed "now" of the block. To show the real date, build the sentence from your own clock.

What stays local, and how do I wire it up?

Everything. The round only changes state in the page and nothing is saved or sent. To make it real, load the team and each person's updates from your own API, and send the blockers to wherever you track them when the round finishes.

How does it look on a phone?

The clock band keeps the digits, the speaker's name and the buttons, wrapping the buttons under the clock. The running order, the speaker's card and the blockers stack in that order.
