Overview
Tie a how-to video to the things on the bench with this product video block for React with Base UI. A header introduces a sourdough made in the stand mixer, from Teasel & Thorn. In a hairline frame with a plus mark on each corner, a stage draws a 16:9 poster for the chosen chapter and says No video in this demo; there is no player. Under it, a transcript line follows the chapter and the products shown in it appear as chips with their prices, each adding that product to the bag count. Three Tabs (Overview, How to, Reviews) keep one height. In the side cell, five chapters with typed times are native radios: the arrow keys move through them and choose, and each says how many products it shows. It suits a shoppable video, a tutorial or a launch film.
FAQ
How do I add my own video and chapters?
Edit CHAPTERS (an id, a start in seconds, a title, a transcript line and the ids of the products shown), ITEMS (name and price in cents) and LENGTH. A chapter ends where the next begins. To play footage, put your player in the stage in place of the poster and move to a chapter when its time is reached.
Why is there no video?
Because a demo should not pretend. The stage draws a poster and says so. The chapters, the transcript and the tagged products are real behaviour; only playback is missing.
How do I move through the chapters?
The chapters are one group of native radios, so the Up and Down arrow keys move and choose in one step, Tab leaves the group, and the stage, transcript and products change at once. The count in the chapters heading reads like 2 of 5.
What stays local in the demo?
The bag count lives in the page and nothing is bought. A chip adds one of that product and the status line says so. To wire it, send the product id from addItem to your cart.
