Overview
Find the process that is eating a host and end it, with this process explorer for Solid with Ark UI. It is Procgrove, a process viewer, shown as a window with no sidebar: a top bar with the heading and a search field (press / while focus is inside the window to reach it), a strip of three thin meters for CPU, memory and load average, a table of 18 processes in a scrolling region with a sticky head, and a detail strip for the chosen row. The head buttons sort by PID, name, user, CPU, memory or state with aria-sort on the column; the rows are one radio group, so the arrow keys move the choice. The detail strip gives the threads, how long it has run, the user and the command line in monospace. End process, a ghost button, opens an Alert Dialog with first focus on Keep running; confirming strikes the row as ended in this demo and takes its CPU and memory out of the meters, and Restore process puts it back. The system processes cannot be ended and say why. Guides draw the frame; the entrance is CSS only. For ops tools and admin consoles.
FAQ
How do I load my own processes?
LINES holds one process per line: pid|name|user|cpu|memory MB|state|threads|started|command. The meters are sums of the rows (CPU over the 8 cores, memory over 16 GB, load as a small base plus the CPU), so ending a row moves all three. Set CORES, MEMORY_TOTAL_MB and AS_OF for your host. In your app feed the rows from your agent and send the signal in confirm.
What does End process do?
Nothing is sent. It asks first, then marks the row as ended in this page: its CPU and memory read zero, its name is struck through and its state says Ended. A sorted order is stored when you press a head, so the row stays where it was. A reload puts every process back.
How do I sort and search?
Press a column head to sort by it (CPU and memory start with the largest, the others from A to Z); press it again to turn the order round. The search field matches the name, the user or the PID, shows how many of the 18 are listed, and an empty result offers Clear search without changing the window's height.
How do I use it with a keyboard?
The table region is a tab stop and scrolls with the arrow keys; inside it Tab lands on the sort buttons and then on the chosen row's radio, where the arrow keys change the choice. The slash key focuses the search field while focus is anywhere inside the window, and the dialog returns focus to End process or to Restore process.
