Overview
Show a pet shop's nurse chat with this pet care chat for Solid with Ark UI. A framed window of fixed height holds a thread with Odile Thackeray, a pet-care nurse at Whiskerworks. A strip under the top bar shows the pet you are asking about, a dog, a cat or a rabbit, with breed and age as text, and a native select to switch it. Switching posts a line, Now talking about Pip, and changes what she knows. Ask about feeding, play, grooming or check-ups and she answers with a tip card typed for that species and using the pet's name: how often, how much and a note, all labelled example figures to confirm with your vet. Each card has a Remind me Toggle that adds it to the Reminders Popover in the top bar. The composer's Shine Button is the only colored control. The frame is ruled by Guides. It suits a pet shop, a vet's front desk or any service with more than one pet per owner.
FAQ
What stays in the page, and how do I make it real?
Everything. The three pets, the twelve tips and the replies are typed in this file, and reminders live in the page's state for this tab. Nothing is sent and no model runs. To make it real, load the owner's pets from your account, send post's text to your team, and save reminders through your notifications service.
What does switching the pet change?
The strip, a system line in the thread and the tips: the next card is picked by the new pet's species and uses its name. Cards already in the log keep the pet they were written for.
Are the feeding amounts advice?
No. Each card says Example figures. Ask your vet. A message about symptoms, such as vomiting or limping, gets a line sending you to a vet instead of a tip.
How do reminders work?
Remind me on a card adds Feeding for Pip to the Reminders popover and bumps the count; Remove or turning the toggle off takes it away. They are not scheduled anywhere in this demo.
Is it usable with a keyboard and a screen reader?
The log is a focusable region announced as a log, so new messages are read out once, and every message starts with a hidden name and time such as "You, 14:09". Delivery is a glyph and a word, never a color. The select is labelled Pet, the tip is a description list and the toggle reports its pressed state. Nothing is told by color.
