Overview

An integration grid section for React with Base UI, written for Tallybin, a fictional stock sync tool for small merchants, and its Shopify connection. A compact header carries the mark pair at its end. Under a band rule, a tally is worked out from the cells below ("3 of 4 locations syncing, 111 units held back") beside a polite status line that says every change stays on the page. Then four Shopify locations sit in a 2 by 2 of shared-hairline cells. Each cell names the location and its stock, draws a bar for how much of that stock is held back, and has a switch that turns the location's sync on or off and a slider for the units held back per variant (0 to 10). Switching a location off dims its cell with a solid tint and takes it out of the tally; it never hides the cell or moves anything. The page's rails and top rule come from the Guides spine, so it lines up with its neighbours in a stack, and the block ends on its last row of cells. It's built from Guides, Switch, Slider and Progress, with your theme's tokens for every colour. Shopify is named in text only: no Shopify logo, colour or wordmark ships with the block. Every figure is example data; nothing is read from or sent to Shopify.

FAQ

Where do the numbers come from, and how do I change them?

PLACES holds each location's name, stock on hand and number of stocked variants; START holds whether it syncs and the units held back per variant. The units held back at a location are that count across its variants, never more than its stock. The bar, the percentage, the tally and the status sentences are all worked out from those, so wiring real stock and variant counts in needs no other edit.

What does turning a location off do?

It dims the cell with a solid tint, changes the word to "Paused", and removes the location from the tally and the held-back total. The slider keeps its value so switching back on restores it. Nothing moves or disappears, so the grid never changes height.

Does anything sync with Shopify?

No. Switches and sliders change state on this page only, and a polite status line says so from the start and after each change. The status is spoken when a slider is released, not at every step. Wire the handlers to your own sync settings to make it real.

How do keyboard and screen reader users work it?

Each switch is named "Sync stock at" and the location, and each slider "Units held back per variant at" the location, with its value read as "2 units". Arrow keys move a slider a unit at a time. The bar is decorative and the same figures are in the text under it. The cells are a real list, one item per location, each with its own heading.

How does it behave on a phone and in right-to-left layouts?

The cells stack in one column on a phone, each keeping its full controls. Bars and sliders always run from low to high in the page's reading direction through the catalog parts, and numbers sit in their own isolate so "412 on hand, 38 variants" reads whole. The only motion is the header's fade-up on load and the cell's tint change, and reduced motion turns both off.
