Overview
An integration stats section for React with Base UI, written for Noteweir, a fictional tool that files meeting notes in a database, and its Notion connection. A compact header with the mark pair (Noteweir's own tile and Notion's neutral lettermark tile) at its end introduces one large sentence: "Noteweir wrote 4,812 blocks to 3 databases in September 2026, 61% of them to Meetings." Each figure carries a small bar drawn inline: the blocks as a bar split by database, the databases as three ticks in the same three tones, and the share as a filled track. Under a band rule, three description-list cells give pages written, blocks written and databases, with the split written out beneath. Every figure, share and bar comes from one typed list of three databases; the shares add to 100 by largest remainder, and the leading database is found from the data. Totals do not rely on colour: the tones are solid mixes of your foreground. Notion is named in text only, with no logo, colour or wordmark; the figures are example data.
FAQ
Where do the numbers come from?
From DATABASES at the top of the file: each database has a name, the blocks written and the pages written. The sentence, the three bars, the leading database, the shares, the pages-per-block average and the cells are all worked out from that list, so editing one number changes every place it appears. The figures are example data; feed the array from your own reports.
Why do the shares always add to 100?
Because sharesOf rounds them by largest remainder: it takes each share's whole part, then gives the missing points to the shares with the biggest fractions. 61, 25 and 14 add to 100 where plain rounding could give 99 or 101. The headline 61% is the leading database's share from the same helper.
What do the inline bars show?
The first, after the block count, is split into three tones in proportion to each database's blocks. The second, after the database count, is one tick per database in the same three tones, so it works as a key to the first. The third is a track filled to the leading database's share. All three are hidden from assistive technology: the words and the cells beneath carry the same facts.
Can the month go out of date?
The period is a fixed string, PERIOD, not computed from the clock, so the block reads the same on the server and in every browser, and nothing ages on its own. Change it together with the data.
Can I show Notion's logo?
The block names Notion in text and ships no logo, colour or wordmark. Its tile is a neutral lettermark, No in a muted square, in an icon slot that a code comment marks: drop in the official mark only if you have the rights to use it under the owner's brand guidelines, and never redraw it.
How does it fit on a phone, in right-to-left layouts and with reduced motion?
On a phone the sentence wraps with each figure and its bar kept together on one line, and the three cells stack with rules between them. In a right-to-left layout the cells flip, while the figures and the bars keep their left-to-right order and each number sits in an isolated span. Nothing moves except the entrance, a CSS transition dropped under reduced motion.
