Google Cloud Detail Integration Block for React

An integration detail section for an event-loading tool connecting to Google Cloud: a header with the mark pair and Connect Google Cloud, three steps, a live project ID field, and an accordion of three IAM roles whose gcloud commands already carry the project ID typed, each with a Copy button.

Overview

An integration detail section for React with Base UI, written for Ferrybase, a fictional tool that loads a product's events into BigQuery, and its Google Cloud connection. A start-aligned header names both ("Ferrybase for Google Cloud") with one sentence, and at its end sit the mark pair (Ferrybase's own tile and Google Cloud's neutral lettermark tile, joined by a connector), the Connect Google Cloud Shine Button and a View docs link. Under a band rule, the start column gives the three steps on a numbered rail (the first with its gcloud iam service-accounts create command) and a project ID field that is checked as you type: 6 to 30 characters of lowercase letters, digits and hyphens, starting with a letter. Behind a split divider, an accordion lists the three IAM roles the service account needs (BigQuery Data Editor, BigQuery Job User and Pub/Sub Subscriber). Each opens to a few of its real permissions and a gcloud projects add-iam-policy-binding command that already carries the project ID typed (or PROJECT_ID until it is valid), in a code box that scrolls sideways, with a Copy button that really copies it. A polite status line says what the commands show. The block ends on content, so no rule closes it. The page's rails and top rule come from the Guides spine. It's built from Guides, Accordion, Input, Field, Copy Button, Button and Shine Button, with your theme's tokens for every colour. Google Cloud is named in text only: no Google logo, colour or wordmark ships with the block. Nothing is sent anywhere: the project ID stays in the field, and the roles' permission lists show a few permissions, not all.

FAQ

Can I show Google Cloud's logo?

The block names Google Cloud in text, the way any integration page says what it works with ("Ferrybase for Google Cloud"), and ships no Google logo, colour or wordmark. Google Cloud's tile is a neutral lettermark, Gc in a muted square, sitting in an icon slot that a code comment marks: drop in the official logo only if you have the rights to use it, under Google's brand guidelines, and never redraw it. The pair is hidden from assistive technology because the heading already names both products.

How do I change the roles and their commands?

Edit ROLES at the top of the file: each role has an id, Google's role name (roles/bigquery.dataEditor), a title, a one-line why and a few of its real permissions. The permission chips show a selection, not the full list, so check Google's role reference before you add more. ACCOUNT is the service account the commands grant roles to, and commandOf builds each command from the project ID and the role, so the three commands and their Copy buttons always agree with the field.

How is the project ID checked?

As you type, the ID is tested against Google's rule for project IDs: 6 to 30 characters, lowercase letters, digits and hyphens, starting with a letter and not ending in a hyphen. Until it passes, the commands show PROJECT_ID, and the status line under the field says so; once it passes, the commands carry your ID and the line says "The commands now use" it. The check only looks at the format, so it cannot know whether the project exists. Nothing you type leaves the page.

Does Copy really copy the command?

Yes: each Copy button writes that role's command, with the project ID in it, to the clipboard, and tells screen readers "Command for BigQuery Data Editor copied". The commands are multi-line with backslashes, so they paste straight into a shell. Running them needs permission to change IAM on the project, such as Project IAM Admin, which the block says. Pub/Sub Subscriber can also be granted on a single subscription instead of the project, and a note says so.

How does it work with keyboards and screen readers?

The accordion's roles are real buttons: Enter or Space opens one, and the first starts open. Each command sits in a labelled region that scrolls sideways and takes focus, so a long line can be read with the keyboard, and its Copy button is named for its role. The project ID has a visible label and the status line under it is polite. Scopes of the commands and permissions keep their left-to-right order in a right-to-left layout.

How does it fit on a phone and with reduced motion?

On a phone the divider gives way to a rule: the header and the connect buttons stack, then the steps and the project field, then the roles. The command boxes scroll sideways instead of wrapping. The header fades up once on load and the accordion eases open; reduced motion turns both off.

    Google Cloud Grid Integration

    Switch and tick grids

An integration grid section for an event-loading tool connecting to Google Cloud: four export tables as a two-by-two of cells, each with an indeterminate parent checkbox over its BigQuery columns, personal-data columns off by default, and a worked-out tally.

  • Pro

An integration list section for an event-loading tool connecting to Google Cloud: daily BigQuery partitions as rows in a fixed, focusable window seven rows tall, a 7 or 14 day choice, size and a bar worked out from the rows, and a working Backfill on the days that failed or arrived short.

  • Pro

An integration setup section for an event pipeline connecting to Google Cloud: a project ID that is checked as you type, four gcloud commands built around it, a key-file drop zone that never reads the file, a dataset and a location.

  • Pro

An integration stats section for an event pipeline on Google Cloud: a gauge of how much of BigQuery's free query tier the dashboards used, three figures and the three biggest queries, all derived from typed data.

    AWS Detail Integration

    Scopes and steps

An integration detail section for a cloud cost tool connecting to AWS: a header with the mark pair and Connect AWS, a three-cell trust chain on one wire, and the five read-only IAM actions its role allows.

    Slack Detail Integration

    Scopes and steps

An integration detail section for a spend tool connecting to Slack: a header with the mark pair and Add to Slack, then what it does, the Slack scopes it reads and writes, three steps to install and the listing's facts.
