Overview

Show a houseplant journal with this plant care chat for React with Ark UI. A framed window of fixed height holds a thread with Rosalind Ashgrove, a plant keeper at Leafnote. A strip under the top bar holds a native select of three plants, Monstera, Pothos and Snake plant, and two lines worked out from the log and a fixed date: Last watered 6 days ago, and Usually every 7 days: due tomorrow. Care entries are cards in the thread, Watered, Fed and Repotted, each with a glyph, the plant and a day such as Fri 9 Oct. The chips above the box, Log watering, Log feeding and Log repotting, add an entry for today to the chosen plant, post a line and get a typed reply with the new card, and the strip updates at once. The composer's Shine Button is the only colored control. The frame is ruled by Guides. It suits a plant app, a garden shop or any care log kept in conversation.

FAQ

What stays in the page, and how do I make it real?

Everything. The five seeded entries, the watering intervals and the replies are typed in this file, and new entries live in the page's state. Nothing is sent and no model runs. To make it real, save each entry through your plants API from logCare and load the log when the page opens.

How are the dates worked out?

From ISO days with plain UTC arithmetic against a fixed date, so the lines never depend on the clock. Last watered is the newest watering of the chosen plant; due compares the days since with that plant's typed interval and reads due today, due tomorrow, due in N days or overdue by N days.

Does it diagnose a sick plant?

No. A message about yellow leaves or spots gets a general note and a suggestion to show a nursery a photo, never a diagnosis.

Can I log by typing instead of the chips?

The chips are the way to log, so a question such as When should I water does not add an entry by accident. Typing gets advice replies from the script.

Is it usable with a keyboard and a screen reader?

The log is a focusable region announced as a log, so new messages are read out once, and every message starts with a hidden name and time such as "You, 14:09". Delivery is a glyph and a word, never a color. The select is labelled Plant, entry days are time elements and the chips are named buttons. Nothing is told by color.

How does it look on a phone?

The strip keeps both derived lines and the select on one row, and the three chips wrap above the box. The window keeps its height and only the log scrolls, even at 320 px wide.
